A: SeeSpotBid is a mobile app that helps you find the best deals on eBay by continuously monitoring for new or expiring listings and notifying you when new items that match your criteria are available.
A: 3 things: fast searches, lots of search criteria, and automatic support for both newly-listed items and expiring items.
A: No, our servers do the continuous monitoring, not your phone.
A: No, our servers do the continuous monitoring, not your phone.
A: You can pause individual Saved Searches in their Edit screen, or pause for your entire Watchlist in the Settings screen.
A: If you created an account in the Settings screen (email + password), simply sign in on the new phone and your subscriptions and Watchlist will transfer. If you lost your phone and didn't have an account created, there's no way to recover your Saved Searches. Contact us with any questions.
A: Data should have migrated automatically. If not, log in with your SeeSpotBid credentials created in the old app. If you didn't create an account, you can create one from the old phone (if available). If not, contact us for further assistance.
A: You can save 10 searches to your Watchlist. Subscribe to PRO to increase that limit. See 'PRO Features' page for more info.
A: For free users: every hour. For PRO users: every 10 minutes.
A: Multiple ways: 1) swipe left on a Saved Search from the Watchlist page (iOS) or long-press (Android). 2) Go into a Saved Search and tap the "Edit" icon in the top right, or scroll to bottom to see an "Edit Search" button
A: Automatic sorting tries to give you the lowest available price for the item you're looking for by essentially combining two searches: "Sort auctions by ending soonest" with "Sort BIN by newly listed."
A: No, sorry. We have to manage our server responsiveness and the number of daily calls we are allotted into the eBay API.
A: In the 'Live Search' tab, Using the 'Best Match' sorting will show similar items, based on eBay's own algorithm (similar to their website). Once you save your search, our servers use a more exact matching algorithm to filter out these 'suggested' results. You can also change the sorting in the Live Search tab to Newly Listed or Ending Soonest to force eBay to return only true matches (again, this is similar to their website).
A: Some sellers unfortunately put "invisible" HTML tags in their listings to try and grab more search traffic. These tags are usually not visible on the listing description page, but still found by eBay's search algorithm. The best way around this tactic is to narrow your search results using other criteria (such as price, condition, seller rating, category, etc.) or remove the "Title and Description" option
A: It could be for a number of reasons, such as: 1) The item was already purchased between our servers finding the item and your viewing of results; 2) The seller may have listed something and then immediately removed it due to a mistake.
A: Make sure you have a postal code set. Go into Settings and fill in the postal code for shipping costs.
A: Lots! Faster searches (10 mins), more search slots (50), multi-phone support, and the ability to disable Quiet Hours.
A: Your Saved Searches will revert to the free tier search frequency (1 hour), and any Saved Searches past the 10 allotted slots will be paused.
A: An account (email + password) lets you recover your subscriptions and Watchlist on a new phone. If you have PRO, it also lets you sync data between multiple devices.
A: No, they are separate. An account lets you recover your data on a different phone, or sync it to other devices (if you have PRO). You can have PRO without creating an account, but we recommend everyone create a free account too!
A: See the 'Change Password' link in the Settings screen when signed in.
